Alma Education and Arts Foundation

The AEAF is a non-profit organization that strives to encourage post-secondary education, promote education in the arts and provide arts exposure to the local community.  The foundation is run by a 7-member board of directors who represent different facets of the community.  The foundation funds a variety of programs at the Alma Performing Arts Center including annual professional seasons, educational seasons, and the student scholarship program.

Alma Performing Arts Center

The Alma PAC is a facility shared by the AEAF and the Alma School District.  The facility includes a full stage theatre with more than 1500 seats, black box theatre space with fluid seating capabilities, visual art gallery, greenroom and kitchen, dressing rooms, laundry room, build shop, costume shop, box office, and staff offices.  The PAC is located at 103 E. Main Street, Alma, AR 72921.

Meet Our Staff

Teresa Schlabach
Teresa Schlabach – Executive Director – Teresa was part of the initial development team for the foundation, which began in February of 2002. She worked for the foundation as the Box Office/House Manager for 9 years before becoming the Executive Director in 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Southern Nazarene University in 1984. Teresa has headed the fundraising efforts of the foundation since 2002. She schedules all professional and school programming for the theatre and handles marketing and hospitality needs
Steven Sellers
Steven Sellers – Technical Director – Steven came to the Alma Education and Arts Foundation as the Assistant Technical Director in 2008 and became the Head Technical Director in 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech/Communications with an emphasis in Theatre from Arkansas Tech University in 2008. Steven oversees all technical aspects of the theatre including sets, lights and sound for both professional touring artists and high school productions.  He also oversees student workers participating in the pre-professional technical theatre program.
Tom Clark – Facilities Manager – Tom has served as the facilities manager for the foundation since it was established in 2002. He works closely with the Theatre Manager and Technical Director to maintain all of the equipment housed at the PAC. He prepares the facility for the large variety of events that take place in both the main theatre and the green room. Tom also assists with building sets and props for productions at the theatre.
Karen Clark
Karen Clark – Housekeeping Supervisor – Karen has served as Housekeeping Supervisor to the foundation since it was established in 2002. She cleans the entire facility before and after events. She also manages the laundry for in-house and professional productions, as well as for the school district.
